October 5 - November 2, 2024
Families from across the greater Omaha area will be able to celebrate the Day of the Dead / Dia de Muertos at El Museo Latino beginning October 5 and continuing through November 2, 2024. Combining elements from indigenous Aztec and Christian traditions, the Day of the Dead remembers our departed loved ones through the “ofrenda” (offering) which includes flowers, candles, incense, candy, favorite foods, and special bread called pan de muertos”.
Guided tours are available with advance reservation.
The calavera, meaning skull in Spanish, has become one of the most recognizable elements of Día de Muertos/Day of the Dead.
